This (low side of) new old stock-testing Canadian GE 12SN7GT dual triode was tested on our Hickok 600A for shorts, gas and transconductance. There were no shorts or gas.

Transconductance measured 2500/2400 micromhos. (New 6SN7s typically test within a standard deviation of 2600 micromhos; minimum (65%) is 1690).

It has steel support rods; black T plates and a bottom, side-D getter and is boldly stamped "Dominion Of Canada."

I have played it in one of my Radio Craftsman RC-2 monoblocks and it sounds outstanding. It is dead quiet when the preamp is muted and has excellent frequency response and dynamics.
