I just cleaned this album on my VPI 16.5 record cleaner and then played it on my solid state rig which consists of a Rega Planar Three with an Ortofon X5-MC cartridge on an RB-300 tone arm with an Adcom GFP-555 II preamp feeding a Hafler SE240 power amplifier and PSB Alpha near-field monitors.
I have listened to this entire album and It has light to lightly-moderate surface noise audible in quiet passages and barely-audible in voice-level passages. A 7 out of 10.
This is the last non-Beatles album released by Apple and is quite under appreciated. In many respects, I think it is Badfinger's response to the Beatles' final album -- at least in tonality. It portended growth but alas we got suicide and embezzlement instead...
